Jaiswal M, et al. - This trial incorporated an estimation of the prevalence of and risk factors for cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy (CAN) in adolescents and young adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Data disclosed comparable prevalence of CAN among adolescents and young adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and those reported in adults with diabetes. Modifiable risk factors related to CAN were discovered to be suboptimal glycemic control and elevated triglycerides.
