European Journal of Clinical Investigation Jan 14, 2018

Researchers also contemplated the potential interaction of cardiorespiratory fitness with age on the arterial stiffness. In women with systemic lupus erythematosus, an attenuation was found of the age-related arterial stiffening due to cardiorespiratory fitness. Hence, it could contribute to the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in this cohort.
