Capillary loss on nailfold capillary microscopy is associated with mortality in systemic sclerosis

Pavan TR, et al. - The relationship of the severity of nail fold capillaroscopy (NFC) abnormalities with mortality in systemic sclerosis (SSc) was tested in this study. AS was related to higher risk of death and, despite not having an independent relationship with mortality after controlling for a set of demographic and clinical variables, it may be a valuable tool in the prognostic assessment of SSc.
