Cannabis increased the risk of primary spontaneous pneumothorax in tobacco smokers: A caseâcontrol study

Olesen WH, et al. - This study was designed to assess the possible association between smoking tobacco and cannabis and the risk of having a primary spontaneous pneumothorax in a large, homogeneous cohort of young, healthy individuals. Findings revealed that compared to both never smokers and daily smokers, combined smoking of tobacco and cannabis resulted in significant increase in the risk of having a primary spontaneous pneumothorax in young men.
