Calcium channel blockers for lung function improvement in asthma

Chiu KY, et al. - Lung function was compared between adult asthmatics who received either calcium channel blockers (CCBs) or placebo, using data from randomized clinical trials. Findings suggested the possible usefulness of CCBs in improving lung function in asthma, especially in exercise-induced asthma. However, there was a lack of evidence for CCBs protecting asthma patients from chemical irritation.
