Brinkrolf P, et al. - In view of the identified significance of bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation in multiple studies, researchers determined bystanders’ perceptions influencing the decision to start cardiopulmonary resuscitation in this single-centre survey conducted in the city of Münster, Germany. The witnessed loss of consciousness was observed to have an independent association with a significant reduction in the likelihood that bystander-CPR was started. The data highlights the significance of teaching the recognition of early cardiac arrest.
