Chatzis O, et al. - Researchers, in this work, focused on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) among other immunocompromised patients. Findings revealed a significant burden of RSV-related disease among adults requiring chronic immunosuppressive treatments for rheumatological conditions and those with solid tumors. Hence, they recommended extending systematic screening for respiratory viruses to other immunocompromised populations than hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients.
