Neel A, et al. - In a Western cohort with ANCA-positive granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) or microscopic polyangiitis (MPA), researchers looked for the prevalence of bronchiectasis and its correlations with disease presentation and outcome. A high prevalence of bronchiectasis, as a pre-existing respiratory condition, was reported in Caucasian patients with anti-MPO ANCA-associated vasculitis. A distinct presentation characterized this subset of patients.
