Breast-specific gamma imaging of invasive breast cancer: Clinicopathologic factors affecting detectability and correlation with mammographic findings
Clinical Imaging Apr 01, 2018
Park JY, et al. - Experts attempted to scrutinize the factors that exerted an impact on the detectability of invasive breast cancers on breast-specific gamma imaging (BSGI) in breast cancer subjects along with an analysis of the mammography and pathologic reports. It was reported that 87.6% cases were visible on BSGI. Findings illustrated a better visualization of invasive cancers in older, postmenopausal patients, cancers with size ≥1.0 cm, and those with fatty breast through BSGI when compared to those in younger, premenopausal patients, with size <1.0 cm and dense breast.
