Breast lesion characterization using whole-lesion histogram analysis with stretched-exponential diffusion model
Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Nov 30, 2017
Liu C, et al. - The characteristics of whole-lesion histogram parameters derived from the stretched-exponential diffusion model for benign and malignant breast lesions were compared with conventional apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), and which histogram metrics best used to differentiate malignant from benign lesions were determined. The distributed diffusion coefficient 10th percentile value and mean heterogeneity index derived from the stretched-exponential model were shown to be superior in providing information and had better diagnostic performance in differentiating malignant from benign lesions in comparison to ADC parameters derived from a monoexponential model.
