Brain MRI findings of congenital CMV infection as a prognostic factor for neurologic outcome
Pediatric Neurology Mar 26, 2018
Kwak M, et al. - This research was initiated in order to speculate the neurologic outcomes of subjects with congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection through the assessment of magnetic resonance images (MRI) of the brain. Data displayed that brain MRI abnormalities could speculate poor developmental outcomes and epilepsy, but not the sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) in the study cohort. It was determined that stratified MR findings could serve as the predictors of neurologic outcomes in such individuals.
