Bowel function, sexual function, and symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse in women with and without urinary incontinence
Neurourology and Urodynamics Apr 26, 2018
Cameron AP, et al. - Authors ascertained the pelvic floor symptoms among women with and without urinary incontinence (UI) and among subtypes of UI. Findings suggested that significantly worse constipation, diarrhoea, faecal incontinence, and sexual function were seen in the women presenting with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) with UI than women without UI. In women with UI, compared to stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and urgency urinary incontinence (UUI), sexual function and pelvic organ prolapse (POP) symptoms were worse in those with mixed urinary incontinence.
