Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology Jan 21, 2021
Zhong Y, Huang L, Yan T, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for characterizing the clinical features of Hori’s nevus, also named acquired bilateral nevus of Ota-like macules, in Chinese adults. Data were gathered from files of patients who visited the hospital from 2015 to 2018. In total, 497 patients (486 females and 11 males) were included in this analysis. Out of 497 participants, 218 patients (44%) showed yellow-brown lesions while blue-brown lesions were noted in 103 patients (21%). In individuals aged 21– 30 years, Hori’s nevus mainly involves the zygomatic area. The color of the lesion is correlated with age, age at onset, and duration of disease.
