Inose H, et al. - Herein, researchers assessed the utility of bone turnover markers as an indicator for prediction of nonunion after spinal fusion surgery. They found an association between bone turnover and nonunion after spinal fusion surgery. They concluded that for predicting nonunion post-spinal fusion surgery, the measurement of bone turnover markers could potentially be used.
