Fang F, et al. – This study investigated the association of blood lead and bone turnover with time from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis to death. Findings demonstrated that there were no interactions between lead or bone turnover and other prognostic indicators. Possible involvement of lead toxicity and bone metabolism in ALS pathophysiology was also indicated.
