Monjaraz EMT, et al. – The authors performed this study to determine an association between chronic abdominal pain in children and Blastocystis hominis (Bh). In children, the chronic abdominal pain had different etiologies. However, they have documented through this work that it was appropriate to provide antimicrobial treatment for patients with Bh and chronic abdominal pain.
