Bergman J, et al. - Researchers attempted to examine if the use of bisphosphonate was associated with a lower risk of new fracture following a clinical fracture, in case of older adults. Data illustrated a decrease in the relative risk of new fracture during bisphosphonate therapy. This trend was consistent with a beneficial treatment effect since bisphosphonates were prescribed in order to reduce the high fracture risks.
