Jao J, et al. - This study aimed at defining the pregnancy outcomes of perinatally human immunodeficiency virusÂinfected women (PHIV). Findings revealed no association between maternal PHIV status and preterm delivery or infant birth weight (BW) outcomes. Researchers observed higher rates of low BW [LBW] in PHIV women aged 23Â30 years that warranted further mechanism-based investigations as this seemed a rapidly growing and aging population worldwide.
