Ernst MM, et al. - The goal of this paper was to discern the pivotal biopsychosocial factors that exert an influence on the quality of life (QOL) of youth with congenital heart disease (CHD). The biopsychosocial factors were accountable for over half the variance in QOL among CHD survivors. A prominent effect could be imparted on the QOL through the scrutiny and treatment of psychological issues in the child and the parent.
