Sorour SS, et al. - Experts evaluated the results of posterior meatal wall (PMW) reconstruction following canal wall down (CWD) mastoidectomy for cholesteatoma using bioactive glass (BAG) that was fabricated and built up intraoperatively. Results suggested that PMW reconstruction, using BAG that operatively fashioned immediately after CWD mastoidectomy appeared to be reliable without considerable complications. This technique gave a smooth appearance of the PMW and improved the hearing.
