Beyond thrombosis: Anti-β2GPI domain 1 antibodies identify late pregnancy morbidity in anti-phospholipid syndrome
Journal of Autoimmunity Mar 01, 2018
Chighizola CB, et al. - Antibodies against β2 glycoprotein I (anti-β2GPI) domain profiling has been investigated in thrombotic anti-phospholipid syndrome (APS), leading to the identification of antibodies targeting D1 as the main subpopulation. In contrast, scarce attention has been paid to obstetric APS. In this current study, a significant association of anti-D1 antibodies with thrombosis as well as with late PM was demonstrated, while positive anti-D4/5 antibodies did not predict thrombosis or PM.
