Salo PM, et al. - A nationally representative sample of the US population was investigated for participant and housing characteristics, including sociodemographic, regional, and climatic factors, associated with bedroom allergen exposures. Researchers found that exposure to multiple allergens was common. Furthermore, they noted a strong association of bedroom allergen burden with the presence of pets and pests, despite highly variable exposures.
