Acupuncture in Medicine Jul 17, 2018
Wunsch JK, et al. - In this pilot study, researchers assessed the acceptability and feasibility of auricular acupuncture (AA) as a treatment for preoperative anxiety (PA) in preparation for a subsequent randomised controlled trial. This study included female patients who were scheduled for ambulatory gynaecological surgery and were offered AA for treatment of PA. The results were used for the sample size calculation of a subsequent randomised controlled clinical trial.
