Aura in cluster headache: A cross-sectional study
Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain Jun 28, 2018
de Coo IF, et al. - In view of up to 23% of cluster headache patients reporting aura symptoms, researchers investigated if clinical features are different in patients with and without aura. They used validated web-based questionnaires to evaluate the incidence and features of attack-related aura and other clinical features in 629 subjects accessible for analysis from 756 cluster headache subjects. In this large cohort, typical aura symptoms (most often involving visual symptoms) were reported in at least 7% of participants with cluster headache. Participants with and without aura were found to have no major clinical differences.
