Dadekian G, et al. – Researchers sought to determine the patterns of stent selection practiced by cardiologists while treating coronary artery disease in the U.S., based on atrial fibrillation (AF) status and across academic medical centers (AMCs). They observed that among patients who received a stent, those with versus without AF were more likely to receive a bare metal stent (BMS) but treatment varied across systems pointing to a lack of consensus.
