Faitelson Y, et al. - Researchers, herein, focused on amoxicillin allergy in children, investigating the predictive factors and role of skin test in the diagnosis of amoxicillin allergy in this age group. They did not find any contribution of skin prick test to the diagnosis of amoxicillin allergy. They recognized the following factors that can be used for predicting true amoxicillin allergy in children: the presence of asthma, family history of drug allergy, and older age at reaction.
