Atherosclerosis May 03, 2018
O'Keeffe LM, et al. - In this study, the association between common Y chromosomal haplogroups and cardiometabolic risk during early life was determined. Researchers recognized no association of common Y chromosomal haplogroups with cardiometabolic risk factors from birth to age 18 or with cardiovascular structure and function at age 18. Common Y chromosomal haplogroups are not identified to have an association with cardiometabolic risk in males during early life and do not explain sex differences in cardiometabolic risk during the early life course.
