Delgado C, et al. – A cross–sectional study was formulated to explore associations of body mass index and body fat with markers of inflammation and nutrition among patients receiving hemodialysis. As per observations, proxies of visceral and subcutaneous fat appeared to have opposing associations with biomarkers of inflammation and nutrition. This study suggested subcutaneous fat as an indicator of nutritional status, and visceral fat, as an indicator of inflammation.
