Rheumatology Mar 14, 2018
Kang KY, et al. - The authors aimed to compare trabecular bone scores (TBS) between axial SpA (axSpA) patients with and without vertebral fractures. They also investigated the relationships between TBS and vertebral fractures. Findings demonstrated that like subjects having primary osteoporosis, a lower TBS was noted in axSpA patients with vertebral fractures. Thereby suggesting that in patients with axSpA, TBS has the potential to predict future vertebral fractures.
