Russolillo A, et al. - In this present study, the clinicians estimated and examined the difference, during medicated and non-medicated methadone treatment episodes, in rates of violent and non-violent crime. Compared with periods in which individuals had not dispensed methadone, rates of violent and non-violent offending were lower during periods when they had dispensed methadone, among a cohort of Canadian offenders.
