Journal of Hypertension Aug 10, 2017
Johansen NB, et al. – This study was conducted to assess levels of central haemodynamics among individuals with different levels of diabetes risk. In addition, researchers also examined the effect of glycated haemoglobin A (HbA1c) and HbA1c alterations on central haemodynamics. In findings, a link was highlighted between, dysglycaemia and future aortic stiffness. However, it was noted that independent of other cardiometabolic risk factors, glycaemic deterioration over 7.8 years did not influence aortic stiffness or central blood pressure (BP).
