The researcher proposed that certain emotion regulation strategies were probably more difficult for youth struggling with sleep problems. They gave initial evidence that poor emotion regulation possibly served as one of the factors contributing to sleep-based psychiatric risk. These findings could inform more efficacious intervention efforts.
