Association of the collagen signature in the tumor microenvironment with lymph node metastasis in early gastric cancer
JAMA Mar 27, 2019
Chen D, et al. - Researchers developed and validated a prediction model based on a fully quantitative collagen signature in the tumor microenvironment in this retrospective study of 375 patients with early gastric cancer (EGC) to determine the individual risk of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in EGC. Findings suggested that collagen signature was statistically significantly linked to lymph node metastasis. According to results, the model exhibited good discrimination in the primary cohort and validation cohort. In patients with EGC, the new prediction model seems to be useful in decision making related to tailored surgical interventions.
