Â The authors performed this study to evaluate whether elevated serum soluble urokinase receptor (suPAR) levels were associated with renal disease progression in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD). In the evaluation, patients with high suPAR levels displayed an increased risk of progression of kidney disease. However, more likewise studies were needed to assess whether suPAR levels could identify children at risk for future CKD.
