Lang J, et al. – Study's objective was to verify the association of serum albumin levels with kidney function decline and incident chronic kidney disease in elders. A strong and independent association was reported between lower serum albumin levels and kidney function decline in elders. This association was independent of clinical risk factors, urine albumin and measured inflammatory markers.
