Association of quetiapine overuse letters with prescribing by physician peers of targeted recipients: A secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial
JAMA Jun 11, 2019
Sacarny A, et al. - Via a randomized clinical trial of an antipsychotic drug, quentiapine overuse, the researchers targetted to examine whether that overuse intervention could have broader effects on changes in physician peers prescription of the original physicians. Although a decrease in prescribing by the original study was associated with practice with the original study, failure in the detection of a significant association between the intervention and prescribing by peer practitioners with all other prespecified antipsychotic prescribing outcomes for peer practitioners, including the prescription of all antipsychotic drugs was noted.
