Association of physical activity and sitting time with incident colorectal cancer in postmenopausal women
European Journal of Cancer Prevention Jun 21, 2018
Gorczyca AM, et al. - This study draws on data from Women’s Health Initiative Observational Study to examine the independent and combined associations of sitting time (ST) and physical activity (PA) with the risk of incident colorectal cancer (CRC), specifically colon and rectal cancer. According to the findings obtained, an inverse association was found between leisure time PA and the risk of CRC, especially for rectal cancer. Researchers did not find an association between ST and CRC in multivariable models.
