Orellano P, et al. - Via searching studies in global and regional databases: PubMed, Scopus, LILACS and SciELO, researchers conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the correlation between asthma prevalence and outdoor air pollution in children (from 0 to 18 years old) in Latin America and the Caribbean. The criteria for exclusion included air pollution that was not related to human activities. Findings suggested a significant association of living in a polluted environment with children having asthma in LAC.
