Weinstein G, et al. - The association between prevalent nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measures was evaluated in this study. The researchers found an association between NAFLD and a smaller total cerebral brain volume, independent of visceral adipose tissue and cardiometabolic risk factors, pointing to a possible link between hepatic steatosis and brain aging.
