Association of maternal serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentrations in second trimester with delivery mode in a Chinese population

Yuan Y, et al. - This paper investigated the maternal serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentrations in a Chinese population. Furthermore, it explored the correlations with the subsequent delivery mode. The findings inferred that vitamin D deficiency was a serious problem among Chinese pregnant women. No evidence was yielded with regard to the maternal serum 25(OH)D concentrations being linked with increased risk of caesarean section.
