Association of major adverse cardiac events up to 5 years in patients with chest pain without significant coronary artery disease in the Korean population
Journal of the American Heart Association Jun 19, 2019
Choi BG, et al. - Among patients (n=5890) who presented with chest pain without significant coronary artery disease (CAD), researchers evaluated the independent risk factors for major adverse clinical events (MACE) or sustained angina pectoris, using multivariable Cox proportional hazards regression, up to 5 years. A strong link with future long-term MACE was demonstrated by aging and insignificant coronary stenosis in patients without significant CAD. In addition, the factors that showed a strong association with future angina pectoris included aging, dyslipidemia, insignificant coronary stenosis, coronary artery spasm, and myocardial bridge.
