Desjardins MP, et al. - This study assessed patients with end-stage renal disease, to gauge the link between interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and aortic stiffness in these subjects. Findings were indicative of a potential role of IL-6 in chronic kidney disease (CKD)-related aortic stiffness.
