Tsuruya K, et al. - This study was performed in the general population, to gauge the association of serum triglyceride (TG) and daily alcohol consumption with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Findings demonstrated the association of elevated serum TG with the decline in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and the incidence and progression of CKD. Furthermore, it was noted that daily alcohol consumption modified these links in this Japanese population.
