Association of health literacy with outcomes in patients undergoing abdominal surgery

Wright JP, et al. - This study was performed on patients undergoing major abdominal surgery in order to elucidate the association of health literacy with postoperative outcomes in these subjects. Findings demonstrated that lower health literacy levels were independently related to longer index hospitalization lengths of stay for this patient population.
