JAMA Pediatrics Nov 16, 2019
Starr MC, et al. - Researchers intended to gain insight into food insecurity in children receiving dialysis due to end-stage kidney disease. Dialysis places a significant burden on families. Children with chronic medical conditions more often suffer from pediatric food insecurity. Worse outcomes and increased healthcare costs have been observed in relation to the presence of pediatric food insecurity.
