Eng OS, et al. - The association between intraoperative fluid administration and morbidity was determined in patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery (CRS)/hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). There was a significant increase in perioperative morbidity in association with the intraoperative fluid administration in patients undergoing CRS/HIPEC. Fluid administration protocols that include standardized restrictive fluid rates might potentially reduce morbidity in these patients.
