Association of fetuin-A with incident type 2 diabetes: Results from the MONICA/KORA Augsburg study and a systematic meta-analysis
European Journal of Endocrinology | Feb 15, 2018
Sujana C, et al. - This meta-analysis was performed to examine the association of circulating fetuin-A with incident type 2 diabetes (T2D) particularly examining potential sex differences. Furthermore, the authors intended to determine whether putative associations were independent of subclinical inflammation, adiponectin, and liver fat content. In both males and females, higher fetuin-A levels were found to be correlated with incident T2D independently of subclinical inflammation, adiponectin, and liver fat content.
