Association of factor V activity with risk of venous thromboembolism and atherothrombotic cardiovascular events: A retrospective population-based cohort study
Thrombosis Research Jun 06, 2018
Saliba W, et al. - A retrospective population-based cohort study was performed to determine the relationship of factor V (FV) activity with risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and atherothrombotic cardiovascular events. All adult individuals who were tested for FV activity between January 2004 and June 2017 were identified using the electronic database of the largest health care provider in Israel. The findings from this study suggest that decreased FV activity could be correlated with decreased incidence of VTE. Between FV activity and atherothrombotic cardiovascular events, no significant association appeared to exist.
