Richardson L, et al. - Neighborhood-level factors associated with first-episode psychosis were examined in a large, predominantly rural population-based cohort. In rural areas, spatial variation in the incidence of nonaffective and affective psychotic disorders existed. This proposed that across the rural-urban gradient, the social environment contributed to psychosis risk.
