Raggio BS, et al. - The aim of the researchers was to determine if aspirin therapy continued preoperatively increased bleeding complications in subjects that underwent thyroid surgery. Aspirin therapy was not seen to be related to a statistically significant or clinically meaningful increase in intraoperative blood loss, thereby suggesting that aspirin therapy could be maintained before thyroid surgery without increased intraoperative bleeding.
